Anamudi Peak: The tallest peak in South India

Situated at a height of over 2695 metres, the Anamudi Peak is the tallest peak in South India. As part of the Western Ghats, this imposing peak stands tall in the famous Eravikulam National Park. It is densely covered with evergreen forests, which is home to rare species of fauna, flora and vibrant avifauna.

Anamudi, along with the national park, is inhabited by the largest surviving population of Nilgiri Tahr, Gaur and Asian Elephant. Visitors can undertake trek to reach the top of the mountain. A favourite haunt among wildlife lovers, adventure enthusiasts and photo fanatics, the peak is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar.
